Questions
- Do I need to edit my theme code?
- No. Funelyze ships a theme app extension, so you switch it on in the theme editor like any other app block. Shopify stops running pasted script tags in March 2027, which is exactly the approach this replaces.
- Which permissions does it ask for?
- Two. Read products, to build quiz results from your catalogue. Write customers, to turn quiz leads into customers you can email. It never reads your orders.
- How does a result add to the cart?
- The quiz asks your storefront to add the variant, writes the response id as a cart attribute so the order can be traced back later, applies the discount code if the result has one, and sends the shopper to the cart. If anything is refused it falls back to a normal Shopify cart link, so a purchase is never lost.
- How am I billed?
- Through Shopify. The same Free, Pro and Business plans apply, you pick one inside your Shopify admin, and the charge lands on your Shopify invoice.
- Can I still use Funelyze on a site that is not Shopify?
- Yes. Funelyze works on any website through a single embed script, and a hosted link works in a menu, an email or a bio. The Shopify app is an easier way in for stores, not a different product.
